| According to article 2 of the Association of
Reservists of the German Armed Forces´ statutes the
commission of Reserve Group Limburg is to stand for the
liberal and democratic Constitution of the Federal
Republic of Germany. Among other things, this means to
support the intention of the German people and to defend
their country as well as to reinforce the Armed
Force’s capability of defence. According to the orders of the German Parliament the Association of Reservists of the German Armed Forces´ is the supporter of reserve activities outside the Armed forces. It also stands for the interests of all reservists and the coordination of reservists with the Armed Forces. The Association of Reservists of the German Armed Forces´ is liberal and above all party politics. Therefore Reserve Group Limburg tries to get in touch with former soldiers and of course those still on active duty to pass information about voluntary reserve activities and to increase their military skills outside of the duty, thus serving peace and freedom. The members of Reserve Group Limburg understand themselves as mediators between the Armed Forces and the people of Germany. Another task is providing a team spirit and a companionable home for members and guests alike. The reservists of Reserve Group Limburg like to perform voluntarily, because they are supported and also challenged. Military education is provided by Reserve Group Limburg in close cooperation with the VBK 47 and the armed forces. There are also sports events, lectures, training colleges and discussions with political and defence political contents. |
