On February 23rd 1972 a
partnership was founded with the 33 US Armored Brigade in
Kirchgoens. Other partnerships were founded with
3./Nachschubbataillon 310 [3rd
Company, Supply Battalion 310] in Diez and
Panzerpionierkompanie 150 [Armored Engineer Company
150] in Westerburg. Although this happened in the
70s, no official certification is availiable yet.
 On
May 12th, 1988 another partnership was
founded with 3./Fernmeldebataillon 5 in the
former Wilhem-von-Nassau-Barrack in Diez, which
had been renamed into 3./Stabsfernmeldebataillon
5 [3rd Company,
Staffsignal Battalion 5] and moved to
Koblenz.

 Since June 11th,
1994 Reserve Group Limburg has a partnership with
3rd Company Transportation Battalion
370, which is stationed at
Freiherr-vom-Stein-Barracks in Diez. In the field
of military education a close cooperation and
support took place especially with the 3rd
Company.
There are also a lot of members of the Reserve
Group Limburg, whose military origin is the
Transportation Battalion and a big number of
members who are in the reserve status with this
unit.

 After
Reserve Group Limburg´s first US partner unit
left Germany because of troop reduction in
central Europe, a new partnership was established
with Headquarters and Headquarters Detachement,
205th (US) Military Intelligence
Brigade [HHD 205th MI
Bde] in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim (Air Base) on
May, 5th 1995.
This still very young partnership brings a lot of
common activities in the field of military and
even social events as well as friendship between
members of the Reserve Group Limburg and the
soldiers of HHD 205th MI Bde and their
families. This shows expressively the solidarity
between these two NATO partners and makes a
tremendous contribution to the German-American Friendship. We winn the Partnership Award
1999 from the V. (US) corps and the II. (GE) corps.
